Description
The Brunswick Square quilt is a classic quilt design inspired by a beautiful black and white tile floor. Named after the home of Emma Woodhouse’s sister Isabella and her husband John Knightley, this pattern embodies that timeless elegance so reminiscent of Jane Austen. The pattern is a medallion style quilt that builds from the center out and is simple and fun to make. Before tackling this quilt, make sure you’ve mastered a scant 1/4″ seam allowance.
Brunswick Square comes in 7 sizes from throw pillow all the way up to king. Also included are 3 different color ways: Classic (two color), Contemporary (five-color) and Scrappy (seven-color). This gives the pattern so many different variations (18 to be exact!), which means you can make it again and again. The possibilities are endless!
I’ve made sure to include three distinct coloring pages, one for each version, three pages of color mock-ups, as well as printable fabric labels that make quilt assembly SO much easier. The labels are printable on 8 1/2″ x 11″ paper.
Tester quilts shown are by: Joyce Ulm, Victoria Newmeyer, Amanda Smith, Mary Burroughs-Mayer , Alaina Green, Alicia Jones and Rosie Girl Quilting,
